Kalamazoo, Michigan -
Kalamazoo is once again host to the Big League Softball World Series. The 2007 series will be held August 12-18 at Vanderberg Park. Ten teams are competing for the title of 2007 Big League World Champions. Vying for the crown will be the five United States Regional Champions, the Canadian national champions, the Latin American champs, and the representatives from the Asia-Pacific and Europe. Rounding out the field is the host team, Michigan District 2. These ten teams will all attempt to bring the coveted trophy to their homeland. Pool play will determine the two teams in the final game, to be televised LIVE on ESPNU and also shown on a tape delayed basis on ESPN2 on Tuesday, August 28 at 2:00 p.m. The host team, Michigan District 2, defeated the East Region team, Connecticut District 5 by a score of 7-5 in last year's championship game.
