The newly renovated Kalamazoo Nature
Center features Nature Up Close, a hands-on exhibit that leads visitors on a ten-times-life-size adventure through the woodlands, prairies and marshes of Southwest Michigan. The Expedition Station will allow you to do your own field research through experiments, activities and CD-ROM technology.
Bike or hike the 34-mile long Kal-Haven
Trail that connects Kalamazoo to the beautiful Lake Michigan lakeshore in South Haven.
Kalamazoo County's celery farming heritage is preserved at the Celery Flats Interpretive Center with artifacts, exhibits and tours of its one room schoolhouse.
Nature lovers will enjoy a visit to the Kellogg
Biological Station. Listen to the trumpeter swans at the Kellogg Bird Sanctuary, wander through Kellogg Forest and visit a dairy farm at Kellogg Dairy Center.
Hit the greens for a round of miniature golf and play a few video games afterwards at Putt-Putt

See perfectly restored World War II "Warbirds" and other vintage aircraft at the Kalamazoo Aviation
History Museum. Weather permitting, thrill to the sounds of a WW II plane flying overhead during the flight of the day. Hold on to your stomachs! The museum also offers flight simulator rides.
More than 100 antique autos are on display at the Gilmore Classic Car Club Museum. Kids love the set of the Disney movie "Gnomemobile" that makes them feel 3 1/2 times smaller. Adults love the wide selection of classic cars.
The Kalamazoo Valley Museum is famous for its hands-on exhibits. While at the museum, gaze into another world in the Hans Baldauf Planetarium.
