Southwest:  Congratulations Girls!!  WOW! what a great feeling just knowing that you all are representing not only Laredo, TX but Gateway Girls Softball.  Good Luck to all of you....play hard and leave it all on the field.  You may not know who we are but what matters is that now everyone knows who you all are.  Keep making us proud and prove that Laredo is not a Baseball town but a developer of a World Series Softball Championship Team. We are proud of the job you did and what you have accomplished, but more than that, we are proud of who you are and what you will become through the experience. That you have taken time away from family, boyfriends and the fun things of summer, and committed yourself to each other as a team, shows us more character and defines success more than a scoreboard ever will. Trophies and championships get dusty and eventually get stored in a box and put in a closet, but character lasts a life time. Congratulations on who you are......true champions.
